The Annual Festival for the World Refugee Day is held in Larnaka for the 3rd consecutive year, on Monday 24 June. The Festival, which is co-organized by Oasis Project, the Open Society Project and Larnaka Municipality, will open its doors at 18:00 and will last till 22:00. It will involve a diverse variety of music and dancing performances.
The festival will be held to honor the unique culture and contribution of refugees in Cypriot society in order to raise awareness on refugee issues and strengthen solidarity between Cypriots and refugee communities in Larnaka.
The rich program of the festival includes a percussion by the team of Sistema Cyprus, dance performances by Dance School, Drama of Life, written by a refugee from Cameroon, music and dance performances from Palestine, the Philippines and Sri Lanka, African drums and much more.
There will be a live Live link in the festival area hosted by Channel 6, from 18:00 to 20:00.
